Tessellating Tile 3

Part of a repetition project I had for class, this series of ceramic tiles stamped with the tessellating pattern cleverly works in the letters YKTFV. Sticking true to the goal of uniqueness in each artwork, I applied different glaze combinations to get various textures and colors.

This tile was a true experiment; started off with underglaze splatters of blues, pinks, purples, then layered a turquoise water low-fire glaze atop giving it that rich glossy blue in some areas. I love the richness and depth I was able to capture in this tile because the small splatters hidden under the deep blue insights curiosity to keep looking.
